Selections from the JPL Archives

The Jewish Public Library Archives’ mandate is to collect, preserve, and make available the social, economic, and cultural accomplishments of Montreal’s Jewish community using original documents, photographs and recordings. Our clients are local, national and international, made up of both Jews and non-Jews, who regard us as a vital educational source. The Archives house collections of individuals, institutions, associations, and schools depicting the history and life of the community during the past 200 years. The collections include minutes, correspondence, programs, flyers, posters, manuscripts, artifacts, audio-visual materials and more than 30,000 photographs.
