Group Tours
About Group Tours
The Jewish Public Library offers tours to visiting groups. Whether you are planning a visit to Montreal from out of town or organizing a group event for your congregation, book group, or special interest group, the library is happy to welcome you with a targeted tour focusing on various aspects of the Montreal Jewish community, of the history of the library or the history of Montreal. If you are looking to include an archival component to the tour or to view a specific archival item, please be sure to check the diverse topics on the “archives” page.
For schools, the library offers special guided tours and a scavenger hunt teaching library research skills to grade 7 students as well as a free membership for each student.
Tours are offered in English, French and Russian.

Group Workshops
The Jewish Public Library offers a number of workshops throughout the year. Our present offerings include writing workshops, book binding workshops, Rare Book Workshops (generously supported by Dr. Michael Paul), BreakOut Games and so much more. Please check the “Courses” section to keep up to date on our latest offerings.

Breakout EDU
BreakOut Games, offered through Breakout EDU is the immersive learning games platform. With Breakout EDU kits, you can turn your classroom, camp group or professional environment into an academically focused escape room. Our librarians facilitate games where players use teamwork and critical thinking to solve a series of challenging puzzles in order to open the locked box. Games are available for all ages and content areas.
