Book Discussion: La Liste de Kersten by Author François Kersaudy

April 22 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The Jewish Public Library, in collaboration with the Montreal Holocaust Museum and Blue Metropolis, invite you to a book discussion with François Kersaudy, OBE, FRSL, French professor, and historian, moderated by journalist Josée Legault, as they explore the remarkable true story of Kersaudy’s latest book; Kersten’s Lists: A Saviour in the Depths of Hell—a man who risked everything to save lives in the heart of Nazi Germany, shedding light on this extraordinary tale of courage and humanity.

A story of manipulation, espionage, and bravery. Félix Kersten: a righteous man among demons; a hero for humanity. Felix Kersten (1898-1960) was an Estonian-born manual therapy doctor who skillfully used his influence over Heinrich Himmler to save resistance fighters, political prisoners, Jews, and other victims. After earning a physiotherapy degree in Helsinki, he continued his studies in Berlin under the renowned Chinese masseur Dr. Ko, who later entrusted him with his practice before retiring to Tibet.

*This event is being presented in French.*

**NEW FEATURE** Live Translations & Captions available throughout the discussion! Attendees can listen to translated audio; read translated subtitles; read same language captions; and access text transcripts during the discussion.
